Updates to Name change forms coming June 22 To remain compliant, we’re updating our Name change or correction forms (form 85 for insurance and form 324 for Personal Health Insurance) on June 22. This change will help us align with regulatory requirements. The form now asks for supporting documentation when a Client changes their name due to marriage or if they return to their maiden name. Residential or physical address requirements for Universal Life insurance applications Sun eApp has been updated for Universal Life (UL) insurance applications. If you choose to submit Anti-Money Laundering (AML) information in Sun eApp, the application now requires the collection of residential/physical address information. This aligns with regulation requirements. Previously, Sun eApp would display a warning if a P.O. box or similar non-physical mailing address was entered on an application. With the recent enhancement, you’ll find: - A valid residential/physical address is now mandatory when completing the AML section for all universal life insurance applications.
- If a residential/physical address is not provided where required, you will not be able to go past the AML page in the application.
- The application will not move forward until a valid residential/physical address is entered.
What’s a residential or physical address? - A residential or physical address must reflect the actual physical location where the Client lives.
- P.O. boxes, general delivery, rural routes, and other non-physical mailing addresses are not acceptable for AML purposes.
- When collecting address information, consider the address you would provide to emergency services responding to the Client’s home.
This update ensures we’re complying with AML regulatory requirements. It’ll also reduce the need for additional follow ups or rework on applications.
