| As Advocis continues modernizing its governance structure, we are inviting members from across the country to consider putting their names forward for The Financial Advisors Association of Canada (TFAAC) Board of Directors. This is an important moment in the evolution of our governance approach, and we are seeking individuals who want to contribute to the continued renewal of the association. |
| | In 2025, Advocis began a multi-year effort to strengthen and modernize the way the organization is governed. This work is rooted in our commitment to support Canada’s financial advisors and planners through strong advocacy, relevant education, and a clear public purpose. Over the past year, several elements of this renewal have already taken shape: - We have taken steps toward a more balanced, skills-based board
- Strengthened board processes
- Improved the way accountability and transparency are built into decision-making.
These changes reflect our belief that strong governance reinforces trust in the profession and positions Advocis to lead through a time of rapid regulatory and societal change. |
| | As we look ahead, we are building on this momentum. The TFAAC Board plays a central role in shaping the future direction of your association, and we are seeking nominees from all regions of Canada who bring a range of experience, perspectives and professional insights. Regional representation continues to be an important priority as we work toward a board that reflects the diversity of our membership and the communities advisors serve. Ideal candidates will: - Be thoughtful about the long-term health of the association
- Contribute to strategic discussions
- Demonstrate integrity, good judgement, and a belief in the value of a strong, unified professional association
We invite you to nominate yourself or another member for consideration. A nomination can be brief. What matters most is a willingness to contribute and an interest in helping guide the next phase of Advocis’ development. |
| | This call for nominations is an opportunity to help shape a modern, accountable and future-ready Advocis. By stepping forward, you can contribute to a strengthened governance foundation and help ensure your association continues to represent advisors with credibility and purpose. We look forward to the leadership that will emerge in the year ahead. |
| Together, we can achieve remarkable things. Sincerely, |
